Get Perfect Crowns in Just One Visit
Robert I. Hlavac, Dental Corporation in Concord, CA

Do you have damaged or broken teeth in need of restoration? Thanks to the advanced technology of CEREC crowns, we can create perfectly shaped and matched crowns for your teeth in-house, and we can do it all in one visit. Instead of wasting time, money, and gas on multiple visits, choose the “green” method for restoring your teeth to health and beauty with single-visit CEREC crowns. CEREC crowns are seamless and have a high-strength ceramic case, making them the perfect choice for most patients.

Whether you’ve had a root canal and need to cover that tooth, or you have superficial damage to one or more teeth, CEREC crowns could be your very best option for fixing your smile in a timely and quality manner.

In the past, to get final crowns that would last you for years to come, we would have needed to have a dental laboratory make them, and we would have needed to give you a temporary crown while you waited for a second appointment to install your final crowns.

Now, we can take a scan and have the crown made while you relax comfortably in our chair with your favorite magazine. Once your crown is complete, we’ll simply cement it in place, and you’ll be ready to go!

If, however, gold or other metal crowns are the best option, or if you need BruxZir solid zirconia crowns, we are also able to accommodate you. When these types of crowns are the best choice – for instance, if you need a thinner crown to fit over one of the teeth in the back of your mouth that’s still durable – we will send these crowns out to a lab for fast turnaround and convenient service. The procedure won’t be completed in one appointment, but it will still be fast!

In addition to CEREC and other types of crowns, we can also assist patients who have one or more missing or broken teeth creating gaps in their smiles. Dr. Hlavac is experienced with inlays (which can replace large fillings), onlays (which cover part of a damaged tooth), and implant-supported bridges. All of these options give you beautiful choices to restore your smile by replacing or repairing missing or damaged teeth with custom-crafted prosthetics.

Are you ready to get your smile back and enjoy how gorgeous and confident you’ll feel with your restored dental health? Call us today at (925) 689-1772 to schedule an appointment and find out if CEREC crowns are the right treatment for you.

Dentures Provide Solutions for Missing Teeth

If you have missing teeth or teeth damaged to the point that they need to be extracted, you’ll need to consider your options for replacing them. For some patients we will recommend dental implants, crowns, or bridges before dentures. However, denture technology has come a very long way over the past few years, and we may actually recommend partial or full dentures to restore your smile.

Full Dentures

If you have lost most or all of your teeth, we will likely recommend a set of full dentures. Immediate (or temporary) dentures can be made and fitted immediately after removal of dead or damaged teeth, in which case they’ll likely need to be adjusted a few times throughout the healing process. Then, once you’ve healed, we’ll replace them with conventional dentures, which should not need much adjustment at all.

Partial Dentures

If you’ve only lost one or a couple of teeth, we can recommend a partial denture, which has a gum-colored plastic base over a metal frame and fits snugly around the teeth adjacent to your missing teeth. Partial dentures prevent teeth from moving and shifting, which can prevent future loss of more teeth.

Advancing Denture Technology

There’s more to dentures than just partial and full, though. We can also recommend implant-retained or implant-supported dentures, which are secured in place over dental implants. If you do not have any natural teeth left, but you do have a healthy jawbone with enough bone mass to support dentures, one of these options may be right for you.

You may also choose metal-free dentures or thermaplastic resin dentures, which are made with all-new resin materials for more flex and a more comfortable fit. With the denture technology we use at our office in Concord, your dentures will look and feel as close as possible to natural, healthy teeth, and no one will be able to tell the difference.
