We Focus on the Latest Technology
Because we care about giving our patients the very best dental care possible, we stay up to date on all of the latest technological innovations in dentistry. These include, but are not limited to:
CEREC crowns – We create CEREC crowns in-house and can do the whole procedure, from taking the very first impression to restoring teeth with high-quality permanent crowns, all in a single visit.
Soft-tissue laser dentistry – Using a laser diode, the doctor can treat gum disease, create a stronger foundation for crowns, or correct soft-tissue folds that sometimes occur due to poorly fitting dentures, and more.
DIAGNOdent – With this laser device, we can detect cavities and decay earlier than ever.
Digital X-rays – Forget about film. With digital X-rays, we can immediately display your X-ray images on a computer screen for better diagnostic use and to help you better understand what’s going on with your teeth and gums.
Class B sterilizers – This medical-grade sterilizer exceeds government regulations and requirements for performance. We insist on the cleanest, safest, and healthiest environment, and that means using an excellent sterilizer for our equipment.
Sonic and ultrasonic scalers – Periodontal therapy has never been easier, more efficient, or more comfortable.
VibraJect – By stimulating nerve endings through vibration, this amazing device blocks pain receptors and makes oral injections virtually painless.
Plus, we have state-of-the-art computers in all operatories allowing us to examine and share digital displays of X-rays, photographs, and other visualizations with you. Want to see the big picture and get to know how your treatment will work? We’ll show you a clear, detailed animation on an iPad that will show you exactly how your procedure will help you.
Your Comfort Matters to Us
In addition to all of the high-tech devices and equipment we use to make your dental experience better, we also focus a great deal on your comfort while you’re in our office. We will gladly provide you with pillows, blankets, bottled water, and pain relief after your procedure to make your experience as relaxing and comfortable as possible before, during, and after your treatment.

A. Even if you brush your teeth after each meal, you can still miss some patches of plaque. When these patches go unnoticed, they can harden into tartar and present a real threat to your teeth. Getting your teeth cleaned twice annually scrubs away plaque and tartar before they become major problems, and your dentist can examine your teeth and gums for other issues, too.
A. Either a manual or electric toothbrush can keep your teeth clean and bright if you use it right and brush your teeth regularly. Make sure the head of your toothbrush is small enough to fit comfortably in your mouth and that it can reach all of your teeth easily. You can choose between soft, medium, or hard bristles, but we usually recommend soft bristles to scrub away plaque without irritating your gums.
A. In a word, yes! Flossing is an incredibly important part of good dental hygiene. It frees teeth of pieces of food and breaks up plaque that you just can’t get to with a toothbrush, and it prevents cavities between the teeth where your toothbrush won’t reach. Research estimates that brushing only removes about 60% of the bacteria from your teeth. You need floss to reach the other 40%!
A. Problems with your gums and teeth set in over time. They aren’t always noticeable to the naked eye, and you usually won’t feel them until a significant amount of damage has been done. With a full set of X-rays, we can diagnose oral and dental health issues early and recommend treatments to get your dental health back on track quickly and easily. We also use X-rays to track the changes in your teeth over time.
A. Good dental hygiene and regular visits to the dentist will go a long way to preventing cavities. Simply brushing with a fluoride toothpaste twice a day, flossing, and using mouthwash in the evenings will prevent most cavities. You can also prevent cavities by eating a healthy diet and avoiding sugary foods and beverages. Sealants and other treatments at the dentist’s office can also help prevent cavities.
A. Practice consistently good dental hygiene habits and visit your dentist for a cleaning and exam at least twice a year. If you have trouble remembering to brush and/or floss your teeth, set yourself an alarm on your phone for the morning and evening when it’s time to take care of your teeth, or you can tape a note to the mirror in your bathroom with a quick reminder. Before you know it, you’ll be in the habit, and your teeth will thank you!
No, you don’t. With CEREC crowns, we’re able to perform single-appointment crown services. You won’t have to make multiple appointments, and you won’t have to wear a temporary crown until your permanent crown is made. Give us a call today at (925) 689-1772 to learn about attractive crowns that you can get in just one visit.
A. Over-the-counter teeth whitening products may lighten your teeth by a shade or two, but they are not very effective at all. Furthermore, the generic trays you get with some of these kits are “one size fits all,” which means they’re usually oversized and can leave your gums exposed to whitening gel, which can be very harmful. For the best results, visit our office for professional teeth whitening. We’ll make custom trays for you, provide you with quality whitening gel, and you can whiten your teeth with a system that really works in the comfort of your home.
A. Yes, there is. In fact, you have a few choices when it comes to fixing the shape and/or alignment of your teeth without braces. Crowns, bonding, and veneers all offer options to cover your teeth and reshape them if they are broken, gapped, or uneven. You may also want to look into Invisalign, which uses a series of custom-made trays to realign your teeth and give you a straight, beautiful smile.
A. The comfort and stability of your dentures depends a great deal on the health of your gums. Regular visits allow us to examine your periodontal health, check for sore or irritated spots, and screen for oral cancer. Plus, regular care will also help increase the longevity of your dentures and keep you feeling more comfortable and happier with your smile.
